Collective Bargaining

You have the right to ask for help and to speak up about your working conditions. Most workers in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have the right to organize, speak out, and work together to improve their jobs.

Your Rights Include:

  • The right to talk with your coworkers about wages, schedules, and safety concerns
  • The right to come together to ask your employer for better pay, safer conditions, or other improvements
  • The right to support or join a labor union, worker center, or community group that advocates for workers' rights
  • The right to participate in peaceful public events, such as rallies or demonstrations, when you are off the clock

These rights are protected under federal labor law, even if you are not a union member. Employers are not allowed to threaten, punish, or fire you simply for organizing or asking questions about your rights.
